Voices

Voices ring in my ears.
I hear them, I listen,
they even deaden fears.

Voices sing of sweet rhythm,
days gone by and days ahead.

Voices echo, whispering in my head,
of dark days burning light again.

Voices bring hope through cracks
in a broken window pane.

Voices bring tears when all hope is lost,
shedding  light on new opportunities I never saw,
with eyes closed so tight.

Voices show that love and luck can tip the scale,
making one wonder who they are, where they will go and 
what they will become.

Voices carry us where winds will never go.
Taking us on a journey of need, loss and reconstruction.

Voices have taught me not to fear change,
to face it, embrace it and learn how strong we can be.

Voices speak truth, reality and love only if we choose to listen.
