Grass Apartment

Last years peeps
filling sweet air
amidst blue skies
no cares.

You hatched
you grew
you flew

New life
displayed among branches
safe from lurking eyes
hungry stomachs
sharp teeth

Safety found
high above ground

A new family will come
raising each one
new day, new way

Refresh revise renew
Life in full circle.

  3. Oh, I love the cycle of life. So wonderful to see those eggs hatch & new little beings with hungry stomachs peeping away. A delightful poem.

  7. Rather an amazing nest your birds have got there! Hope they all hatch out safely and learn to fly with no interference from hunting cats (ahem, like my own), or falcons and red kites.
