Waves

On your sandy shore,
water so clear,
tickling toes,
splashing my nose.
Your ebbing waves,
steady and constant,
like my heartbeat.
You envelop me,
with a warm embrace,
amazed by your grace.
Off in the distance,
people laugh and sing.
Solid rock by your side,
keeping you warm,
calming your tides.
Reflecting now,
a day well spent
in a watery world,
feeling happy and content.

  2. Um, nothing like an ocean of love and words to treat us to a fine poem like this. i like the idea of the far-off people adding their backdrop to your contented state.

    Really enjoyed this!
